Karting Calafat in Tarragona
Karting Calafat opened its doors in July 2022. We are an outdoor go-kart circuit located in the town of Calafat, in L’ametlla de Mar, 48 kilometers from the center of Tarragona and very close to the beach, specifically in the facilities of the legendary Calafat Circuit.
Thanks to being part of the mythical Calafat Circuit, we have all the experience of the mythical circuit and we have created a fun as well as technical layout, which delights young and old.
Karting Calafat, we also have our own parking, terrace with drinks and snacks service, briefing area, barbecue area, workshop and boxes.
Characteristics of the Calafat karting circuit
Our circuit is technical and very fun for groups, since it allows overtaking and dueling on the track. The layout of Karting Calafat has different variations, with the total route of this track being 700 meters long and 7 meters wide. It consists of 6 curves to the right and 3 to the left. Its surface is concrete.
The curbs on our track are made of concrete.
Our innovative timing system
Karting Calafat with a complete and innovative timing system, made up of a large video scoreboard that makes it visible both to the drivers on the track and to the public from the terrace. With traffic light functions, the broadcast of times, positions and best laps in real time. Complemented with various screens that indicate the layout of the pilots, positions, grids and much more.
This system also allows security control with speed controls, stop system and digital safety car.
Security
At karting Calafat we care about the safety and comfort of our customers. For this reason, we keep our track in optimal conditions to guarantee an exciting and safe karting experience. The circuit has loopholes in different areas to guarantee safety in the event of going off track. In addition, we use a system of protection barriers built with tires, which prevents other areas of the track from being invaded.
